I was born in Berwyn, Illinois in 1979 and grew up there until 1994 when I was removed from my home by the Department of Children and Family Services. I moved around the Chicago after becoming a ward of the state, but mostly resided in Des Plaines and Bartlett. While in Berwyn I attended Morton East High School in Cicero and earned an award for being #1 out of 800 freshman students. When I moved to Des Plaines I completed my high school education at John Hersey High School. I graduated in 1997 and attended Elgin Community College for one year before transferring to Columbia College – Chicago because I thought I wanted to be a Journalist. However, I transferred to MacCormac Junior College after one term because I had other ideas about what I wanted to study and stayed here for one year before transferring to Roosevelt University where I settled on a political science major and then deciding I wasn’t happy with their program. My last transfer was in 2002 to DePaul University where I earned my B.A. in political
